The Green Study Holiday Humor Contest has come to an end. I had no idea how, or even if, it would work since I’ve never had a contest through this blog. I received numerous entries, each one of them lovely and unique in their own ways. Thank you!
I’ve modified the prizes upward slightly, partly from my gratitude to the participants and partly because the ending of the holidays brings me a small streak of happiness.
1st Prize goes to Ruth, from Life in the 50’s and Beyond
Her entry will be posted as a guest post to my blog, she will be sent one Harry and David organic fruit basket and I will make a $115 donation to the American Red Cross on her behalf to her local Red Cross Chapter or their International Disaster Response fund.
2nd Prize goes to Elyse at FiftyFourandaHalf
Her entry will be posted as a guest post to my blog and I will make a $60 donation to the Red Cross on her behalf to her local Red Cross Chapter or their International Disaster Response fund.
3rd Prize goes to Dave at 1PointPerspective
His entry will be posted as a guest post to my blog and I will make a $25 donation to the Red Cross on his behalf to his local Red Cross Chapter or their International Disaster Response fund.
Honorable Mentions: These three entries (in no particular order) had a touch of whimsy and sweetness and I couldn’t leave them off the winners’ list. I will post each of these as guest posts to my blog.
Fransi at Three Hundred Sixty-Five, Kirizar, Diane at Westlakemusings
All winners will receive that valuable collectible – a postcard from Minneapolis! I will be posting the six winning entries over the next 2 weeks.
Thank you again to everyone who participated.
I wish you all a wonderful new year!
Can’t wait to read them. And to visit these blogs. Thanks again.

Thanks Michelle. That was fun. Mine was a group effort. Having the whole family home for Christmas allowed me to tap into their memories of that particular vacation.

It was fun, but I think I need to do it earlier, so that the holiday entry winners can be posted during the holidays and maybe more people would have time to participate.

Not a bad turnout for a new annual holiday tradition, though 🙂
